Some important notes about the day:
Arrival times
- In order to ensure the children are warmed up and ready to go, please arrive at least an hour before your first event. The call room opens 30 mins before and closes 20 mins before the scheduled event time. Any teams that are not present in the tent with all 4 members by the closing time will be disqualified.
- Remember there are 3 other athletes depending on your child. If someone pulls out or is late to marshaling, the entire team is scratched and misses out
- If there are any problems or you are running late, please call or text your Age Group Manager.
- When you arrive at the track please come and report to our Team Managers Sheridan and Nat at the Caulfield tent to have your name checked off and find the other athletes in your child’s team.
Uniform
- Athletes must be in full CLAC uniform – Caulfield singlet/t-shirt/crop top with plan navy pants (not black!). Shorts are not allowed to have any pockets or visible logos (other than the LAVic logo) bigger than a 50c piece.
- Coles badges must be sewn on to your child’s singlet/crop top (not pinned). This is a strictly enforced requirement. We will have spare patches and a needle & thread at the track on the day if needed.
- Athletes must wear their Commonwealth Bank patch on the day.
Venue info
- The CLAC tents will be set up under the shade sails at the top of the front straight (near the long jump pits at the oval end). Please bring along some chairs or a blanket
- Results will posted on https://lavic.resultshub.com.au/. Navigate to Region Relay Carnivals, select SMR then choose the event you are looking for. Results will be posted usually within 5 mins of each race being completed. The final results will also be posted on the Clubroom windows for those who cannot access the app (but may take up to 10 mins to be posted)
- Warm up can be done on the oval, but it looks like there is a cricket game scheduled from 1pm, so please use the shoulder or down near the netball courts. We will have batons at the CLAC tent – just ask Nat or Sheridan nd please ensure you return them when you are finished for other teams to use.
- It is looking like a hot day, so please ensure you remember a water bottle and hat. The water fountain is right near our tents should you need to refill throughout the day.
- We will be running a silent auction with proceeds going to CLAC so if you see something you like, bid for it!
- We will have the BBQ and canteen operating with a wide variety of food on offer, from the humble sausage in bread, to burgers, salad rolls and dim sims. We will also have our coffee van set up in the usual spot and Ormond Ice Creamery will also be on site for a well deserved post race ice cream.
